An article review format allows scholars or students to analyze and evaluate the work of other experts in a given field. Outside of the education system, experts often review the work of their peers for clarity, originality, and contribution to the discipline of study.

The Pre-Writing Process
Facing this task for the first time can really get confusing and can leave you being unsure where to begin. To create a top-notch article review, start with a few preparatory steps. Here are the two main stages to get you started:
Step 1: Define the right organization for your review. Knowing the future setup of your paper will help you define how you should read the article. Here are the steps to follow:
- Summarize the article — seek out the main points, ideas, claims, and general information presented in the article.
- Define the positive points — identify the strong aspects, ideas, and insightful observations the author has made.
- Find the gaps —- determine whether or not the author has any contradictions, gaps, or inconsistencies in the article and evaluate whether or not he or she used a sufficient amount of arguments and information to support his or her ideas.
- Identify unanswered questions — finally, identify if there are any questions left unanswered after reading the piece.
Step 2: Move on and review the article. Here is a small and simple guide to help you do it right:
- Start off by looking at and assessing the title of the piece, its abstract, introductory part, headings and subheadings, opening sentences in its paragraphs, and its conclusion.
- First, read only the beginning and the ending of the piece (introduction and conclusion). These are the parts where authors include all of their key arguments and points. Therefore, if you start with reading these parts, it will give you a good sense of the author’s main points.
- Finally, read the article fully.
These three steps make up most of the prewriting process. After you are done with them, you can move on to writing your own review—and we are going to guide you through the writing process as well.
Organization in an assignment like this is of utmost importance. Before embarking on your writing process, you could outline your assignment or use an article review template to organize your thoughts more coherently.
Outline and Template
As you progress with reading your article, organize your thoughts into coherent sections in an outline. As you read, jot down important facts, contributions, or contradictions. Identify the shortcomings and strengths of your publication. Begin to map your outline accordingly.
If your professor does not want a summary section or a personal critique section, then you must alleviate those parts from your writing. Much like other assignments, an article review must contain an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Thus you might consider dividing your outline according to these sections as well as subheadings within the body. - Read the article very closely, and then take time to reflect on your evaluation. Consider whether the article effectively achieves what it set out to.
- Write out a full article review by completing your intro, summary, evaluation, and conclusion. Don't forget to add a title, too!
- Proofread your review for mistakes (like grammar and usage), while also cutting down on needless information.
Preparing to Write Your Review

- Article reviews present more than just an opinion. You will engage with the text to create a response to the scholarly writer's ideas. You will respond to and use ideas, theories, and research from your studies. Your critique of the article will be based on proof and your own thoughtful reasoning.
- An article review only responds to the author's research. It typically does not provide any new research. However, if you are correcting misleading or otherwise incorrect points, some new data may be presented.

Brief Introduction and Importance to Mental Health Nursing
The article entitled “Recovery in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD): A Qualitative Study of Service Users’ Perspectives” written by Katsakou, Marougka, Barnicot, White, & Lockwood (2012) presented an exploration of the perception of recovery from individuals diagnosed with BPD, classified as service users, or those contracting professional mental health treatment. The study had been pursued due to the lack of clear understanding of the manner by which persons diagnosed with BPD attained their respective personal recovery goals and were deemed to be consistent with the recovery goals or clinical improvements provided by mental health practitioners. The study is considered important to mental health nursing in view of the proposed changes that need to be incorporated in the interventions and treatment methods provided by mental health professionals on a more individualized basis.
Statistics to Support the Significance of the Topic
The topic of study is significant after gathering relevant statistics pertaining to people diagnosed with BPD. As revealed, “the prevalence of the disorder is between 1% and 5.9% in the general population. Suicide attempts and/or self-harming are common in 69–80% and completed suicide occurs in up to 10% of those diagnosed” . Due to the alarming numbers of people who exhibit tendencies for suicide or self-harming, views of these people diagnosed with BPD were solicited to document their perception of recovery and assist in the development of more effective interventions to improve the quality of life.
Summary of the Article
Discussion on How the Information could be Used for Practice The information could be used for nursing practice especially the need to determine the personal goals of those diagnosed with mental illness, specifically BPD, prior to proposing a plan of treatment or care. Nurses and mental health practitioners should accurately determine the personal health goals from the patients prior to developing a plan of care. Doing so would enable integration of the patients’ goals and planned intervention as well as path of treatment would therefore be designed to fulfill explicitly defined targets. As specifically noted, “professionals might also need to work with service users towards devising comprehensive individualized case formulations, including all treatment targets that are important to them, their priorities and long-term plans on how their targets might be met and which services might be involved” . Minimizing suicidal and self-harming tendencies have been the general goal of mental health professionals given the severity and intensity of harm to the person diagnosed with BPD. However, with the findings revealed, service users’ personal goals need to be accurately determined so that the plan of care could be tailored to the specialized need of the users.
Identification of Strengths and Weaknesses of the Article
The strengths of the article included the following: (1) it being a pioneer in exploring the perception of recovery from the point of view of people afflicted with BPD; (2) a relatively large sample size which was an appropriate representative of the population; (3) participants were diverse in geographic and levels of recovery backgrounds ; and (4) the research team was composed of professionals in their respective fields of study and involved service users from diverse study stages . Concurrently, the weaknesses of the article included the following: (1) participants all came from East London; (2) the kind of therapeutic interventions focused only on Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mentalization-based Therapy (MBT); (3) the mental health professionals’ view of the word ‘recovery’ were not solicited; (4) the response rate might not be representative of the entire population; and (5) the participants’ view of recovery were influenced by the two (2) therapeutic interventions that were dominantly applied .
Discussion on Recommendation of the Article to other Colleagues
The article would definitely be recommended as an enlightening source of authoritative information on the subject of BPD and the participants or service users’ view of recovery. The results emphasize the need to tailor the interventions to the mental health needs and personal goals of recovery of the person diagnosed with mental illness.
The current review achieved its objective of presenting relevant information gained from the article and considered how the information could enrich nursing practice, in general. In sum, the relevance of determining personal goals of recovery was highlighted as an essential component of the treatment process and mental health professionals should incorporate these goals in the mental health patients’ plan of care.

Lastly, the CINAHL search produced 43 sources for knowledge on HF, 21 for self- care, and 15 for readmissions. For an article to pass the inclusion criteria, it had to have been published between 2010 and 2020, be published in a peer-reviewed journal and was either research or evidence-based . Only articles whose content addressed HF readmission prevention, HF education, and self-care were included. Studies that were not published in English had a publication before 2010, and its subjects were minors below 18 were excluded from the articles to be reviewed. A total of 48 were recognized as potential sources, which were then narrowed to a final list of 7 articles as the definitive sources relevant for the proposed EBP intervention . The final list excluded articles that were not peer-reviewed, had evidence of low quality, and focused on children as the subjects of HF. In Man’s search for Meaning, the author tells an incredible and personal story of his life in prison during Holocaust. The author presents his argument and shares his analysis as a psychologist , a prisoner, and a doctor.
The author Victor E. Frankl begins the story by stating the purpose of putting his life experience in writing. According to him, writing the paper is not to present any details of the Holocaust. Instead, he provides a very personal and intriguing story. He offers a great personal account of his life and concentration in the camp.
Frankl states, ‘‘this tale is no concerned with any great honors which have been described on many occasions, but I will try to answer this question: How was daily life in a concentration camp reflected in the mind of a prisoner?’’ He then describes the life of a prisoner in the camp and in the main stages. The story tells of the reaction of prisoners who are held captive in the camp.
In the first stage, a prisoner gets admission to the camp, in the second stage; the prisoner adopts a specific routine within the facility and in the third stage, is a period of depersonalization where the prisoner has been liberated from prison or the camp.
As noted above, Frankl’s main purpose of writing the article or the book is to analyze and present the reactions of a prisoner in regard to everyday life in prison. The 3 stages of life in the camp reflect the experiences of a prisoner including apathy, shock, and depersonalization. The author bases his argument and analysis of the stages on the reactions of inmates and his personal reactions as well as thoughts because he experienced life in prison.

If You`re All White In America: A Closer Look at West Side Story
Adaptations of William Shakespeare`s Romeo and Juliet have been flooding the arts scene since time immemorial; indeed, there`s some debate as to whether Shakespeare`s own version was an adaptation of an earlier tale. Arguably one of the most iconic retellings takes form in West Side Story, a musical following star-crossed lovers Mar`a and Tony as they find love amidst opposing sides of a turf war. Following the rousing success of the 1957 stage musical, 1961 brought West Side Story to the silver screen with a cast decidedly less Puerto Rican than the casting briefs would have suggested. Though the central plot of West Side Story is not truly about race or identity, it nevertheless casts Puerto Ricans, and to an extent, Latinos, in a role of criminality (for the men) and victimization (for the women) that has remained a part of the American consciousness for the past sixty years; additionally, it benefits from the aesthetic of Latin music and `exoticism` without founding it in any tangible roots, whether that be through accurate casting or research.
The original musical`s creative team included Stephen Sondheim (a newcomer to Broadway at the time) as the lyricist, Leonard Bernstein as the composer, and Arthur Laurents as the writer. They set it in New York City`s Upper West Side, then a working-class neighborhood, and cast the Capulet and Montague proxies as a Puerto Rican gang and a white gang, respectively. The Sharks, led by Bernardo, and the Jets, led by Riff, fight over a one-block square of territory surrounding a park. But when Bernardo`s sister, Mar`a, falls in love with the Jet’s second-in-command, Tony, tensions threaten to destroy both of the gangs from the inside out. The cast also features Anita, Bernardo`s girlfriend, and Chino, Mar`a`s intended husband, as well as local law enforcement and Doc, the owner of a candy shop that serves as a sort of neutral territory. Jerome Robbins directed and choreographed the original Broadway run, leading it to six Tony nominations in the 1958 season. The Broadway production ran for upwards of 700 performances before going on tour; it ran for even longer in London`s West End. For the film, Jerome Robbins returned to choreograph and co-direct with Robert Wise. (He later booted off the project after it ran 24 days behind schedule and surpassed its budget, but Wise agreed to award him the credit regardless.) It, too, gained critical acclaim, winning ten out of its eleven Academy Award nominations. Rita Moreno would be the first Hispanic actress to win an Academy Award, as well as the first Puerto Rican.
The film`s casting completely ignores the reality of Latino identity, which is that Latinidad is not tied to any one race. Some Puerto Ricans are white; some are Black. Mestizaje and colonization ensured that there would never be a pure Latino race.` But such an implication in 1960s Hollywood, especially following the Civil Rights Movement and the passing of the ERA in 1960, was unthinkable. It`s safer to `other` the Puerto Ricans, Hispanics, the Latinos. Employing them as the faces for a movie was equally unthinkable, so it led to the creation of stereotypical caricatures, actors’ brownface. George Chakiris, the son of Greek immigrants, played Bernardo; Natalie Wood, the daughter of Russian immigrants, played Mar`a. Only the role of Anita was able to claim accurate casting, with Rita Moreno filling her shoes. Even Moreno, however, wore makeup several shades darker than her own for the classic role.

Vague and nonspecific Latin music permeates the soundtrack of the musical. At the gym, the two gangs Mambo it out, a dance that was growing increasingly popular in the United States at the time. It`s important to note that the Mambo originated in Cuba, but of course, the general Latin air of it lent itself to the scene quite nicely. The Sharks also borrow from flamenco (Woller 36), which isn`t even Latin, but Spanish again, a gross addition made purely for aesthetic value. A few scenes later, the song-and-dance number `America` takes inspiration from both Puerto Rican and Mexican music. In the original screenplay, by Ernest Lehman rather than Laurents (who wrote the book), Bernardo is instructed to have an `exaggerated Mexican accent` during one of the lyrics in the song, further proving the point that distinctions between Latin American countries, cultures, people, accents are of no importance to American filmmakers. They simply created a generic `Latin look, thrilling and exotic in its unfamiliarity, without regard to the specific origins of their derivations. They want the aesthetic without the responsibility of the research; their American audience wouldn`t have been able to tell them all apart anyway.
Taking it one step further, West Side Story also takes its Latino ensemble and emphasizes their role as `inherently musical and performative subjects` (Negr³n-Mutaner 85), a community of people always ready to break out into song and dance, despite the tension unfolding around them at all times. En la pachanga, for lack of a better phrase. It perpetuates long-standing stereotypes of Latinos, particularly in regard to white audiences and their willingness to perform for them. Viewed in context with the generalized, American-made, `Puerto Ricana` music found in the movie, it becomes a gross masquerade. There`s a perverse fault of logic in the America number, which takes Chakiris (in brownface) and Puerto Rican Rita Moreno and makes the latter defend cultural assimilation, the former pointing out the flaws in the American way of life. It`s visible in less obvious scenes as well. MarÃa sings about feeling pretty but only when Tony, a white man, sees her. A man who, it must be noted, cannot even say her name properly Mar`a and Maria are, in fact, pronounced differently. But I digress.
There is one more central problem with how Puerto Ricans are treated in this film. It groups the Puerto Rican men, the Sharks, together, and gives them a collective identity, rather than addressing them individually. The law enforcement in the film, Schrank, and Krupke, instantly scout them as troublemakers for being Puerto Rican, creating a sense of equivalency between criminality and ethnicity. Negr³n-Mutaner argues that not only are they hailed as criminals, but also as racialized and colonized, which creates an identity of shame that has been difficult for the Puerto Rican diaspora to shake. Furthermore, the two central Puerto Rican women are highly victimized in the film or at least viewed as victims. Mar`a`s name, the cross she wears, and her white dress, are all meant to symbolize the virginal purity she represents. She becomes a victim of the new system she is living in, losing her brother and her love on the same night. She is weak, without flaws, but ultimately dependent on the white man and dependent, too, on assimilating into whiteness as much as possible. She wears, for instance, a yellow dress at the bridal shop where Tony comes to see her a color reserved for the Jets. She pretends to be Miss America during I Feel Pretty, indicating that she can only be free when she is passing for white (Davine 148.) As for poor Anita, the taunting scene in Doc`s candy shop, where she is nearly assaulted by the Jets, is a far cry from the empowered diva dancing on the rooftop a few hours ago. She enters the drugstore with a shawl wrapped around her head, newly modest in the wake of Bernardo`s death. Though Doc manages to prevent an actual rape, viewers are still left with a final image of Anita as a victim of the Jets. The film seems to have two messages: Puerto Rican women can either be a virginal, chaste maiden or an opinionated, sexy young woman, but you must suffer.
For the first time, Puerto Ricans were allowed to be central in the narrative of a film, and many folks did feel represented on the screen. The duality of America, and the struggle between rejecting colonization or embracing assimilation is a common theme for Puerto Ricans and indeed, many Latin Americans. But on the whole, the representation offered in West Side Story is rife with pro-assimilation propaganda, inauthentic appropriation of Latin aesthetics, and cultural reduction to a couple of stereotypes for the sake of exoticism and assuaging the fears of 1960s Hollywood producers. It was, and still is, a movie made by white people, for white people.

Review of Daisy Lux Hotel
Last month, my family and I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend at the Daisy Lux Hotel in Langkawi. The hotel is right beside Tanjung Rhu beach. Tanjung Rhu Beach is one of the clearest and cleanest beaches in Malaysia. The hotel was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The surroundings were stunning, and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.
From the moment we entered the hotel lobby, we were impressed. The interior decor was luxurious yet warm and inviting. The family room that we booked was spacious and clean with comfortable double beds and linens. The room was overlooking the ocean which had a fabulous view. There is a kettle, a small fridge and a large TV which we loved. The bathroom was nicely decorated with unique tiles. They provided plush towels and top of the line toiletry sets which they would replace every day.
The facilities of hotel
In addition to the comfortable accommodations, the hotel also offered a wide range of activities and facilities for guests to enjoy. We were delighted by the large pool facing the beach. We could just walk right to the beach after taking a dip in the pool. The hotel restaurant has a stunning interior as well. We were able to have a relaxing breakfast and dinner every day that we were there. The price of the food was pretty expensive, but the food was delicious and top-notch.
The staff of Daisy Lux Hotel was excellent and pleasant. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The housekeeping staff was efficient and attentive. Everyone was caring about our needs to ensure that we were enjoying our stay.
In conclusion
On the whole, we enjoyed the hospitality at Daisy Lux Hotel and we had a wonderful experience of staying there. Location is good, the staff is courteous, the facilities were awesome. I would definitely recommend Daisy Lux Hotel as it is a great place for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.

Terminologies in chest game include; action chess the player is given 30 minutes to make all their moves. Algebraic notation is where moves are written dawn using the piece's names and the ranks. Attack is where an opponent strategically places their pieces in a way that helps them to win in the next move. Battery involves placing two pieces that are similar to the queen is followed by rock or queen, followed by the bishop. Blitz is where mostly where every player is given five minutes during the entire period of the game. Blunder is a move that turns what was supposed to be a win into a loss or even a draw or what was supposed to be a draw into a loss. The fork is where one faces a double attack by the use of prawn or knight. Knight is an "L" move or any short move that is not straight. Material is a way to determine the value of a piece. The threat is a win that is likely to win a material or make progress on the next move if the opponent if not able to oppose it (Trinchero, & Sala,2016). The Swiss system is where players are paired each against their opponent who is doing almost as well as them, most players get a practically equal number of games for the blacks, and the white and opponent cannot play the same game twice. Playing chess has many advantages that justify it using the history of education, psychologists have been studying the relevance of games in education, including chess. According to Ibrahim (2014), playing chess helps in enhancing visual skills and students' ability to focus. When the visual stimulus is high, memory improves, and it is possible to transfer this gain to different subjects and make a student a better performer in the same case, chess players can think ahead and more abstractly, and it is such skills required to prepare students not only intelligent but also able to plan. However, as discussed below, it is vital to reflect on the downsides of chess inclusion in education, such as its inability to improve analytical skills as generally claimed. The primary aim of doing so is to ensure that there is some balance when making it a critical part of the students' everyday learning activities.
Since chess mostly involves critical thinking, it can be used to open up the mind of the student, which would positively improve the student thinking capacity. It also helps the student to know how to relate even in real-life activities. It is therefore essential that the game is included in schools just like the other game like the football, handball, basketball rugby among other recognised games in the school set up.

ChatGPT's advanced capabilities have created a huge demand , with the 'app' accumulating over 100 million users within two months of launching. One of the biggest standout features has been its ability to compose all sorts of text within seconds, including songs, poems, bedtime stories, and essays.

Contrary to popular opinion, ChatGPT can do a lot more than just write an essay for you (which could be called plagiarism). What is more useful is how it can help guide your writing process. If you are a looking for ways to use ChatGPT to support your writing, here are five different ways to explore.
How to improve your writing process with ChatGPT

Before you can even get started writing an essay, you need to flesh out the idea. When professors assign essays, they generally give students a prompt that gives them leeway for their own self-expression and analysis. As a result, students have the task of finding the angle to approach the essay on their own.
If you have written an essay recently, you know this step is often the trickiest part -- and this is where ChatGPT can help.

All you need to do is input the assignment topic, include as much detail as you'd like -- such as what you're thinking about covering -- and let ChatGPT do the rest. For example, based on a paper prompt I had in college, I asked:
Can you help me come up with a topic idea for this assignment, "You will write a research paper or case study on a leadership topic of your choice." I would like it to include Blake and Mouton's Managerial Leadership Grid and possibly a historical figure.
Within seconds, the chatbot produced a response that provided me with the title of the essay, options of historical figures I could focus my article on, and insight on what information I could include in my paper, with specific examples of a case study I could use.
2. Use the chatbot to create an outline
Once you have a solid topic, it's time to start brainstorming what you actually want to include in the essay. To facilitate the writing process, I always create an outline, including all the different points I want to touch upon in my essay. However, the outline writing process is usually tedious.
With ChatGPT, all you have to do is ask it to write it for you.

Using the topic that ChatGPT helped me generate in step one, I asked the chatbot to write me an outline by saying:
Can you create an outline for a paper, "Examining the Leadership Style of Winston Churchill through Blake and Mouton's Managerial Leadership Grid"
After a couple of seconds, the chatbot outputted a holistic outline divided into seven different sections, with three different points under each section.
This outline is thorough and can be condensed for a shorter essay, or elaborated on for a longer paper. If you don't like something or want to tweak it further, you can do so either manually or with more instructions to ChatGPT.
3. Use ChatGPT to find sources
Now that you know exactly what you want to write, it's time to find reputable sources to get your information from. If you don't know where to start, like with all of the previous steps, you can just ask ChatGPT.
All you need to do is ask it to find sources for your essay topic. For example, I asked it the following:
Can you help me find sources for a paper, "Examining the Leadership Style of Winston Churchill through Blake and Mouton's Managerial Leadership Grid."

The chatbot output seven sources, with a bullet point for each that explained what the source was and why it could be useful.
The one caveat you will want to be aware of when using ChatGPT for sources is that it does not have access to information before 2021, so it will not be able to suggest the freshest sources. However, it is a start.
4. Use ChatGPT to write a sample essay
It is worth noting that if you take the text directly from the chatbot and submit it, your work could be considered a form of plagiarism, since it is not your original work. As with any information taken from another source, text generated by any AI should be clearly identified and credited in your work.
In most educational institutions, the penalties for plagiarism are severe, ranging from a failing grade to expulsion from the school.

If you want ChatGPT generate a sample piece of text, put in the topic, the desired length, and watch for what it generates. For example, I input the following text:
Can you write a five-paragraph essay on the topic, "Examining the Leadership Style of Winston Churchill through Blake and Mouton's Managerial Leadership Grid."
Within seconds, the chatbot output exactly what I asked for: A coherent, five-paragraph essay on the topic which can help you to guide you in your own writing.
At this point it's worth remembering how tools like ChatGPT work: They put words together in a form that they think is statistically valid but they don't know if what they are saying is true or accurate. That means you might find invented facts or details or other oddities. It won't be able to create original work because it is simply aggregating everything it has already absorbed. It might be a useful starting point for your own work, but don't expect it to be inspired or accurate.
5. Use ChatGPT to co-edit your essay
Once you've written your own essay, you can use ChatGPT's advanced writing capabilities to edit it for you.
You can simply tell the chatbot what you specifically want it to edit. For example, I asked it to edit for essay structure and grammar, but other options could have included flow, tone, and more.
Once you ask it to edit your essay, it will prompt you to paste your text into the chatbot. Once you do, it will output your essay with corrections made. This could be the most useful tool as it can edit your essay more thoroughly than a basic proofreading tool could, going beyond spelling.
You could also co-edit with the chatbot, asking it to take a look at a specific paragraph or sentence and asking it to rewrite or fix it for clarity.
